Privacy policy
Last updated: May 27, 2026
This policy describes the data processed when using the site and the rights you have over that data, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data controller
Individual publishing this service on a non-professional basis. For any request concerning your data: contact@bnbverdict.com.
Purpose
On the user's request, analyze the public reviews of a short-term rental listing provided via its URL, and return a written summary.
Legal basis
Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): helping users evaluate a listing using information that is already public. For reviews collected indirectly, Article 14(5)(b) GDPR is invoked: individual notice would be a disproportionate effort given the public nature of the data and the immediate removal of identifying fields.
Data processed
Visitor side
- Submitted listing URL and optional focus keywords.
- Selected interface language (French or English).
- IP address used for rate limiting during the request, then discarded.
- Anonymized audience events (pages viewed, action types), with no third-party cookies and no persistent identifier.
Third-party platform side
Public reviews of the target listing are fetched for the duration of the request. Identifying fields (guest first name, internal identifier, profile picture, seniority) are dropped on receipt. Only the review text, date, rating, and language pass through the analysis engine, then are discarded.
Retention
No data is retained server-side beyond the duration of the request. No user database exists.
Sub-processors
The service relies on providers described by function:
- A cloud hosting provider established in the United States, subject to the Data Privacy Framework.
- A language-model inference provider established in the United States, subject to the Data Privacy Framework. Requests are not used to train its models.
- A cookieless web audience analytics provider.
The named list is available on request at contact@bnbverdict.com.
Your rights
You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, and restriction over data concerning you. Since the service retains no personal data long-term, these rights apply mainly to the public reviews processed on your request. To exercise these rights: contact@bnbverdict.com.
Complaints
You may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL) if you believe the processing of your data does not comply with the regulation.
